AcceleDent is an innovative treatment system that employs the latest technology to decrease overall treatment times and correct your smile alignment. AcceleDent helps you to obtain the results you want in a more comfortable and efficient way.
What Is AcceleDent?
AcceleDent is a hands-free, noninvasive device that speeds up the time spent with braces or Invisalign. Patients can now experience a comfortable, safe, and effective accelerated option.
Some advantages include:
- Less discomfort reported with orthodontic treatment
- Orthodontic treatment speed increased by up to 50%
- Approved by the FDA for use by your Upper West Side orthodontist
How Does AcceleDent Work?
AcceleDent acts as a complement to your braces or Invisalign treatment. By employing pulses more gentle than a toothbrush bristle, AcceleDent’s vibration encourages your teeth to shift at a faster rate. By expediting the orthodontic treatment process, AcceleDent provides you with a faster, safer, and more comfortable treatment.

Propel treatment provides innovative devices and procedures to shift teeth much more quickly than ordinary treatment. Dr. Pliakas can use Propel in combination with current orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign and braces, to help shift your teeth into perfect alignment up to 50% faster than with Invisalign or braces alone.
Propel treatment works by removing a small section of the external surface of the bone. The bone then goes through a phase where its mineral content temporarily decreases. The tissue of the bone releases rich deposits of calcium, and new bone begins to mineralize. While in this transition stage, the bone is softer and thus provides less resistance for the existing braces, allowing them to move your teeth swiftly into position.
For a beautiful smile in a fraction of the time, ask Dr. Pliakas about the benefits of Propel for your orthodontic treatment.
